Haircuts, Feeling Fourteen again and being a Theatre Snob. #LittleLoves 6/52

Oh dear, another week gone by and no blog - and another late Little Loves post! Bad Martha. Bad. It's been a tough week, if I'm honest, so you'll have to forgive me. I honestly do have plans for more posts this week.

I've kind of read nothing this week, excluding the odd magazine. I know, I should be ashamed, but I'm not, I'm a busy girl.

I was after some comfort nonsense this week, which means I gave in and re-watched the Queen of Comedy, Miranda Hart. Why is there only one season available, hey Netflix?

Jay's been re-watching Skins lately, because I think he's officially run out of things to watch. But one of the joys of this is the incredible soundtrack that comes with it. It makes me feel about fourteen again and I love it. So much nostalgia.

I haven't documented anything I've worn this week, because it's not been very stylish. I've been utterly exhausted lately and have had no time to put into fashion. Which is a sad state to be in. I did do something rather spontaneous and hack off about five-six inches of hair. I was going for an Emma Stone blunt cut lob look, but I'm not sure it quite worked. Still, I'm pleased with it and it's much easier to manage. Well, in theory - I had a nightmare this morning where I got a new brush stuck in it today and spent twenty minutes in the shower pulling out each hair individually because I utterly refused to cut it out as I had just spent money on it. This resulted in me calling an Uber to get to church on time, which turned up whilst I was still getting dressed and had barely brushed my eyebrows, let alone my hair. It wasn't a good look.

I've done very little creative work this week (as we've established, I've been busy). But I did buy some flowers to brighten up the place, so at least I've had some colour this week.

Last weekend we had some friends up to visit for the night and had managed to grab £10 tickets for The Curious Incident of the Dog in The Night Time at The Lowry. I was a little bit sceptical at first, because being the pretentious ex-drama student that I am, I'm a little dubious of anything that does too well (basically, I don't like many musicals...) because I do prefer slightly independent work. I'm a snob, yes, but I'm a snob who's happy to be proved wrong and dammit I was. I was so impressed with this production (the fact there's a live puppy on stage might help slightly...). If you get a chance to see it, do.

    1. I absolutely love the hair. I need to cut a lot off mine but I am scared. hahaha This would be a great style might have to take cue from you. Love the lippy color too. I have felt not so stylish this week I just didn't have the time either to fuss. I hate that but sometimes it's just a busy week. lol Hope you are having a great start to the week. #littleloves

      1. Thanks! I went in intending to cut off a little bit but then somehow found the hairdresser persuading me for it to be a lot! Pretty pleased with it though. :) x

    2. Love your hair Martha, it really suits you that length.
Oh man, I used to love watching Skins, even though I was probably too old really to be watching it!! I agree the soundtrack really is incredible, aah so many memories x

      1. Thanks! I imagine most of the people watching Skins were either too old or too young to be watching it one way or another! X
